Lions, Rhinos, and Pumpkins...Oh My!

Halloween weekend, the Virginia Zoo was having a fun outing for kids of all ages. Jack watched zookeepers feed pumpkins to different animals on this cool, overcast day. The zoo was also giving out candy but mommy and daddy didn't want to ruin Jack's appetite.

Labor Day Trip 2008

Well, Bradley took some days off work so we hit the road for a couple of weeks before we both go back to work. We stopped at a few places to eat along the way trying some rib restaurants and other places we had seen on The Food Network. We counted meals and realized we ate 7 meals in 11 days that included ribs. Mmmmmmmmm. Best ribs of the trip other than Eric's homemade versions? Probably Abes in Clarksdale or Dreamland in Birmingham. The best part of the trip had to be visiting with family, friends and just hanging out.

We visited with friends, went to our first football game, and watched our first Bulldog victory!

We had our first playdate with our friend Wylie.

We had a Red Egg Party at the Asian Palace with many friends and family

4-D ultrasound video

33 Weeks: May 3, 2008

31 Weeks: April 19, 2008

A new addition!

Here are a few pictures of our soon to be new addition to the family!

8 weeks old: November 7th 2007 was the first time we got to see Baby Chow. We were very excited to see the heartbeat. It was a small, bright flicker on the screen.

12 weeks old: December 6th 2007. Can you believe that from a little lima bean at 8 weeks, Baby Chow has grown to a full baby with body, arms, little feet. Even though Jennifer couldn't feel it yet, we could see on the screen that the little baby stretched out its legs.

20 weeks: February 5, 2008. It's a boy!!! We find out that Baby Chow is a boy! We got to see his heart beating, him yawning, making a fist, and even crossing his feet together.

31 weeks: April 19th 2008. We went to a 3-D ultrasound, just to see our little boy again. The top picture is of him smiling when he heard mommy and daddy's voice. He seems like a pretty happy baby in there, but wanted to keep his hands and knees near his face. The ultrasound technician wasn't able to get a good look at him and asked us to come back in 2 weeks to try again.

First Post - A Little Background

Jennifer and I moved to Virginia in July 2006 from Memphis as we started a new adventure. We have enjoyed our time here doing lots of fun things and meeting new people.
