We're Back in Memphis

It has been a while since our last post and let me just use an old excuse that we have been too busy.  Since our last post, we have worked our last days in our respective jobs and said our goodbyes to our friends in Virginia, drove 13 hours straight to close on a home in Memphis, went on a trip to Philadelphia and New York, moved ourselves to Memphis, celebrated the holidays with family, went to New Orleans to go to a wedding, started a new job, started a new school, and went to Oxford... TWICE!  We are not sure what we are going to do with our blog and our blog name but we will update the changes here soon enough.

Election Time 2012

We all took in a fun trip on the train up to Washington DC a few weeks ago.  Jack spoke with both candidates and found them both to be a little stiff.  There is a tight race this year and Jack chuckled that the choice this year is an easy one.

Emily Turns One!

She really liked Jack's chair so we got her one of her own.

Jack-o-saurus Turns 4!!

We had lots of fun at the Hermitage Museum Playground.  Gram visited and decorated the dinosaur cake.  Jack loved running around with all his friends.  His hair got a little out of hand with the static from the slide.  I think it is a good look for him.

Williamsburg Fife and Drums

One of Jennifer's things she has wanted to do since we've been here in Virgina has been to see Old Town Williamsburg during Christmas and see the Fife and Drums.  It was a cold day but everyone had so much fun seeing the parade come by.  Jack even brought his own fife and played along.

Almost Three Months Old

Visit to Pennsylvania

We drove up to Lancaster, PA for a wedding on Pop's side and Jack got to play with some of his cousins.  We also got to go to Hershey, PA to visit the chocolate factory.  I'd say he enjoyed the cupcake...

Waiting for Irene

We prepared and waited for Hurricane Irene.  We held out here with flashlights and water handy.We moved all our patio furniture inside except our concrete bulldog. During the storm, Jack was very concerned about the bulldog saying he was cold, wet, and scared. Jack was very excited the next morning to see the bulldog was fine.Thanks to all for your prayers during this nervous time for us. We are thankful that we are all safe and we didn't lose power.

A visit from friends

We had a visit from friends from Memphis!  Jack had so much fun playing with them. After they left he asked when they could come over and play again. He is such a proud Big Brother!
