Jack's school had a visit from Santa last week so when it was our turn to sit on Santa's lap, Jack didn't want to sit with him. After a few minutes and after Jack figured out this was the guy that brings toys to good boys and girls, he gave Santa a high five and said he has been good this year.
Here are a few pictures of Jack while we were picking out some pumpkins. He tried to pick one that was bigger than he was but we convinced him that a few small ones would do just fine. He was a Lion for Halloween and we had a good time roaring at people for candy that mom and dad got to eat.
Our Sunday School Class was having a get together this past Saturday at someone's house that had a trampoline. Jack has started to learn to jump some and he had a fun time running and jumping around. He has also started swimming some in the bathtub and a few times after falling, he shows off his butterfly stroke.
A Few weeks ago, Jack's school coordinated an outing at Knott's Island, NC picnicing and apple picking. We all had so much fun with perfect weather and plenty of apples!
The Krispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburger. We saw this burger on the Food Network. It is a Bacon Cheeseburger with pepperjack cheese. We added bacon pieces inside the meat patty. All this in between two Krispy Kreme donuts. We actually first heard of this burger 3 years ago from our friend Lee who sent us this link of a Minor League baseball team serving this burger to boost ticket sales. We've actually been talking about it ever since. Tonight was to be the night.
At first bite we looked up at each other with devilish grins. There was something very wrong to eat a burger on donuts. At the same time, there was something very right about eating a burger on donuts. Dinner and dessert all in one bite. Mmm Mmm Good!! I'm headed to set up the exercise bike.
Got a request today from the Grands to update the blog with some new pictures. So, here you go...
We took a trip back in June to New York for My Uncle's 80th Birthday. Here are some pictures from after the party hanging out with the cuzzins.
Here are some pictures from our July 4th trip to Boston. We had fun going to a Red Sox game seeing the Green Monster as well as former Mississippi State star Jonathan Papelbon. Jack loved watching the penguins at the aquarium as well as a pretty huge shark.
We celebrated Jack's 1st Birthday last weekend by going to the beach and later smashing cake at home. They also had a party for him at school with cupcakes and balloons.
We are not sure if Jack enjoyed the cake more or the sand!
We asked Jack to open wide like an alligator so we could get a good shot of his first two teeth. He didn't seem to act too differently when they came in. Wasn't in a terrible mood, didn't drool excessibly, didn't have a fever or anything. One day, he just started to lick the front of his gums with his toungue and magically - they appeared.
Jack really likes to grab the baskets underneath his strollers and walk behind them. Here is a 2 minute video of him walking around. It was taken when he was about 8 months old. The video won't win any Oscar Awards but is cute nonetheless.
It's basketball tournament time and although the Bulldogs may not win many games, it won't be because Jack wasn't ringing his bell!! Oh please don't take away Jack's bell!!
