A FOOT of Snow Today!!

The area was expecting PERHAPS a couple of inches of snow today. 3 inches is what we woke up to but that was just the beginning. The snow really picked up during the morning hours and didn't stop until around 7pm. Some people are saying there were 14-16 inches. I'm conservatively reporting a foot. That is plenty for this Mississippi boy. We got out for a little walk and some fun in the white stuff. Enjoy a few pics...

Almost the end of another year...

We've kept busy but we just haven't kept real busy with the blog. Here are a some pictures from a few things we've done this summer/fall. Pool parties, swim lessons, a few trips to the beach, Oceana Air Show, trick or treating at the zoo. Enjoy!

Firetrucks at the Carnival

Jack got to drive the firetruck at a local carnival. He loved exploring all through the fire truck and thanking the firefighters. He calls them helpers. He also won a prize by picking up the rubber ducky and saying the correct number written on the bottom.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jack!

We had such a fun time with all the things Jack loves on his birthday weekend. We rode the train at the Zoo, saw the big sailboats at HarborFest, rode the ferry, and of course ate CAKE! Jack couldn't wait to take his new bike out for a spin!

Enjoying the Sun

Jack rode this little pink shoe all the way to the playground. The little pink shoe was actually his mom's when she was very little. When he got to the playground he found a cool car to ride in with a cute girl in it.

Weather in Norfolk

One of the reasons we have enjoyed living in Norfolk is the relatively nice weather. In February, we had a couple of different snow storms one of which shut the whole Hampton Roads down for two days. The first weekend in April, we were able to head over to the beach where we had some fun in the sun.

Christmas Card

Here is our Christmas card for those of you that have not seen it. Our cousin, Lauren designed the card and we just love it. Check out her website for all different kinds of cards- Lauren Chow Designs.

These are some Christmas pictures that we were thinking of using for our Christmas card but since we could only use one, we decided on the one above. We thought you might want to see the others that were in the running. We are happy with the one we chose. Oh, the last picture was the cutest little reindeer that Jack made in school with his hands and feet.
